IT SEEMS LIKE advent calendars are getting fancier and fancier these days – and while we’re certainly behind getting a little luxury treat every day in December, we’re also partial to a somewhat traditional advent calendar. The kind with SWEETS.
1. Kellogg’s Variety calendar, approximately €5
Twenty-four days of delicious cereal. Are we dreaming?
These have been spotted in Tesco and Supervalu, so keep an eye out next time you’re doing the shop.
2. Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup calendar, €16
You know what they say: A peanut butter cup a day keeps the doctor away.
3. Kinder calendar, €7.90
This one contains the little Chocolate Mini sweets, but you can also get ones that have mini Kinder Buenos or Kinder Surprise eggs.
4. Haribo calendar, €7.80
Jelly fiends who have always wished for non-chocolate advent calendars, your time has finally come.
5. Lindt dark chocolate calendar, €14
If you’re one of those refined souls who adores dark chocolate, you will go mad for this calendar which gives you two pieces of chocolate a day. Two! And four on Christmas Eve. Very generous of you, Lindt.
6. Malteaser calendar, €3.99
For those who hoard the Teasers in every box of Celebrations.
7. Swizzels calendar, €5
Drumsticks, Refreshers, Love Hearts… all the good stuff. Hopefully they put the Parma Violets on the first day so you can get them out of the way.
